Autobiographical Paintings

This work is a collection of portraits and self-portraits of family and friends. Stylistically, they vary widely. Edith Kammerling as a Child, Florence Kirk, Portrait of Jeremiah, Elaine’s Death, and Nettie Teeple incorporate collaged elements: scraps of wallpaper, fabric, and old papers with musical significance. My Mother at 86 was done in pencil.  The remaining pieces are mixed media, mostly acrylic paints and inks.
